Follow the Feeling part Six!

Dennis’s job consisted of the smooth running within a small part of network rails team.

Recently they had been undergoing a phrase of transition. The signal boxes he used to visit, a place where they could talk for hours and really get to know one another and make a connection were disappearing fast. It was real man management.

Now that they were all in one place, what did he have to deal with?

“Dennis, there’s no salt and vinegar in the vending machine.”

Alternatively something to do with the new (to them) laptops both of which were different departments entirely.

Occasionally it was to do with work and he relished the opportunity to embed his knowledge downwards. But after the fifteenth time of them asking and no matter how many lies he told himself, they were never going to understand and care like he did. In short, on occasion he ended up doing their job for them.

For the most part however, he sat at his desk typing up whatever came his way and sending documents that looked necessary out of muscle memory more than reacting to whatever the day happened to rake in.

On the phone he took calls where he gave short sharp responses only elaborating when asked too…And deleting emails to make way for new ones which…
